Michigan House Passes Bill Allowing Cocktails To-Go
The Michigan House today passed a bill, HB 5811, to allow restaurants and bars to sell cocktails to-go in sealed containers. Currently, 33 states plus the District of Columbia are allowing restaurants and/or bars to sell cocktails to-go, bottled spirits to-go or both.

Governor Whitmer signed a bill package containing Senate Bill 588 and House Bills 4620 and 4621 which amend the Michigan Liquor Control Code, as well as House Bill 4335 into law. The governor also vetoed Senate Bill 294 to ensure Michiganders are protected from shoddy construction.
